2/12/08 Eric Green’s Journal Ep. 2.1
The first we see of Eric in this episode is in flashbacks of the Jericho/ New Bern battle. He’s fighting beside his brother. Then the helicopters come and a plane that drops bombs effectively ending the skirmish.
He is next seen with Jake and Mayor Anderson at the City Hall. Beck tells them that “Jericho is on the fast track to recovery”. He then lets them know that nothing will be done to Constantino or New Bern. When Jake gets pulled into the sheriffs office Eric goes outside to wait. After Jake comes out he tells Eric to meet him at Baileys after closing to plan the trip to New Bern to kill Constantino.
Eric wants to “take care of” Constantino and if possible leave Jake out of it since Beck has been keeping a close eye on Jake. He leaves for New Bern without letting Jake know, but. Mary let Jake know that Eric had left with some “Rangers”, Jake went to stop him and Eric showed more anger, almost seeming to blame Jake for taking his dad away.
While it seems Jake is starting to straighten his “act” out, Eric seems to be having some trouble coping. The death of his wife and their unborn child, his jail time in New Bern and subsequent torture at the hands of Constantino and his deputies, his fathers death and friends injured during the battle has been a heavy load. With all this suffering I’m wandering if Eric isn’t going to snap under all the pressure… .
