Eric Green (Kenneth Mitchell) will be followed by KDolten for Season 2.
Eric had done everything right. He stayed out of trouble, did well in school, became a lawyer, and went to work for his father in the Mayors office. He was doing what his parents expected. Then Jake comes home. Eric seemed resentful or jealous of the attention Jake received from his parents and the other townspeople. This jealousy led to tension between him and Jake.
Eric as the “good” son was not as good as he could have been… I mean he was cheating on his wife. The loss of his wife, April and their baby seemed to be a changing point. The guilt brought about by the death of his wife and baby seemed to have awakened a guy who was more aware and not as self serving. When he went to help build the windmills he put some space between himself and Mary. I think this will make it possible for his relationship with Mary to grow into something stronger.
Seemed to be a wimpy, self serving type of guy, until he started showing some backbone while being a prisoner in New Bern. He was able to withhold information while being tortured that could have made it easy for New Bern to take over the town of Jericho. Eric seems to be growing into a stronger person who will be an asset to the town of Jericho. I hope we see this growth continue.
Eric was not one of the people that I was drawn to on Jericho but I appreciate the growth that his character has shown. He is becoming one of the reasons I like to watch Jericho.
