Johnston Green: Son, I’m 59 years old, I was mayor of this town since the Carter administration, I’m a retired Army Ranger, and I’m a combat veteran. Of course I asked your mother.It is said that behind every great man theres a greater woman….very true…Johnston might of been a hero and a strong man but he is a bit intimidated by his wife…...Size realy doesnt matter, Gail might be a short person but she can pack a punch,she reminds me of Napoleon…Gail and i are sort of mirror images, im short, bossy, witty, with a deep maternal instinct, forgiving….like they say..birds of a feather stick togheter….Both Gail and I are survivors and fighters….Taking care of 3 “boys” is not easy…..Gail is a very intuitive and resourceful woman. She appears to know what Jake had done during the 5 years he was absent from Jericho, but she has not told Johnston.Gail also likes to play matchmaker ( like my mom ) for her sons, later though she consumes her energy by re-entering the work force as a full-time nurse, a job she had left to raise her children.I am also studying to be a nurse and i know how much one needs to study. It takes a special kind of person to take such a job, a job full of responsability, a person who is dedicated and has a cast iron stomach .
